Tour of Texas

We arrived in Texas after a few tearful "see you later", and a wonderful time at Ft. Morgan Beach with friends. We arrived on the 4th of July and had steak and homemade ice cream with my parents. Yummm!
On Tuesday we spent the morning with my parents eating lunch, and hitting some of my favorite shopping places. The rest of my family (Aunt Gladys and Uncle Bob and Mammaw) arrived at supper time.

We enjoyed one of our favorite Texas BBQ restaurants, Spring Creek.

My Aunt and Uncle gave us this great picnic basket chalked full of road trip goodies and picnic supplies. They also brought their photo albums and travel journal from when my Uncle worked as a Pharmacist in Alaska for three months during the summer of 2008. It looks like they went everywhere there is to go by car in just a short 3 months so it is possible to see everything we want to in 3 years. Uncle Bob also shared his fishing stories with me when he caught Halibut and King Salmon and it makes me want to go fishing even more. Seeing all the pictures and hearing of their adventures last night really got me excited about our new journey.
