The Boat Terminal.
It all began in Price Rupert, BC. Jordan and I checked in at the Alaskan Marine Highway terminal where we went through customs. With passports in hand we waited in the terminal for three hours to load our car. Despite the lengthy wait to board the ferry the trip was totally worth the wait. We traveled the inner passage north passing through Ketchican, Wrangell and finally to Juneau. we travelled through narrow passages that even the cruise ships could not pass. At one point we had to wait for the tide to rise just so that we could pass through. They said the tide only rises high enough twice a day.
Accomodations on the boat were tight. Jordan and I had a room with a view and bathroom.

It rained 3/4 of the time we were on the boat. That's the norm here so everyone has a variety of rain gear as a part of their daily wardrobe.
The Clouds were low and the rain was plentiful.
Traveling the highseas offered some beautiful, breathtaking mountain and glacier views. Even some whale watching.
