Where has the time gone????

Good Morning...
Jordan and I are absolutely thrilled about this week. Both of our families are coming to stay with us for Thanksgiving. My mom flew in Sunday afternoon to spend a little mother/daughter time together before the festivities get started. It's been a while since we got to do that so I was estatic for her arrival. My Dad is driving in this evening and then Jordan's mom and dad and brohers and sisters and their spouses are arriving on Wednesday. Yipppeee! We will have a house full (11 to be exact). This is my first time to cook the Turkey so look out culinary experts...Dawn is whipping up something in the kitchen. I just hope it doesn't turn out like the turkey on the all time classic movie, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Up until this week it has been go, go, go. I am sure many of you feel the same. When the holiday season arrives around the chruch there are tons of events, gatherings, and special services to plan. We just had our Operation Christmas Child collection event and had a fabulous response to the movie night and best of all the church contributed 312 boxes to the Operation Christmas Child shoe box drive. it's the most our church has ever done. My car was stuffed to the max from top to bottom when I loaded it to drop the boxes off a the collection site. We invited the whole church to attend the collection night and we had tacky Christmas sweater contest and Christmas cookie bake-off and watched the brand new Veggietales Christmas DVD. We had over 250 people that attended the movie night with their families and brought the shoeboxes as their admission to the event.

We had so much fun packing our boxes and getting them ready to be shipped. We got a little carried away. Lets just say when the child opens the box there should be a warning that the box my explode with everything.
