Congratulations to Micah and Angela Downing

Jordan and I traveled to McKinney, TX this weekend for Jordan's brother; Micah's wedding. We always love weddings in the Downing family because it is a wonderful opportunity to see all of the family together. Jordan and I are so excited to have Angela as an official part of the family. We absolutely adore her.

These are pictures from baby dedication at our church this past weekend. Jordan was the official camera man for me so he cruised around while everthing was taking place and captured the moment. We had seven proud parents present their children before the church and make the commitment to bring them up in Christ centered home. This is such an exciting time for me to see families that are committed to bringing up children with the proper foundation.

We absolutely love our new church home and the exciting ministries that are happening here.

This weekend Jordan and I have been attending the Christian Life and Witness Classes offered by the Billy Graham Association to train counselors for upcoming crusade events. On July 18th the Billy Graham Association is putting on an event called, Rock the River that will be targeting the youth and college generation in the Baton Rouge area.
Anyway the speaker at the event said this....
He said that his grandmother made this wonderful FUDGE cake that she served hot and gooey.
He said that it was so good that after you ate it if you picked up the crumbs and sprinkled them on your head that your tongue would beat your brain to death trying to get to them.

Well besides the CL&W classes everything here is pretty usual. Jordan is on vacation for the next few days so he is helping me around the church getting ready for VBS training and Camps. I am busy getting ready for the summer and planning camps and recruiting volunteers for all of our activities. It's a blast.

3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt...Our first big event

3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at our church. This was my first major event as the Director of Children's Ministries at Woodlawn Baptist Church. There were 2,700 eggs for the kids to find. There were so many eggs that the egg hiders had to just lay them out on the grass.
